Our PTA
The PTA is extremely active at Pimperne Primary School. The contribution that it makes to every child’s time here at Pimperne is hugely beneficial. The fundraising events that happen throughout the year are vital in the supporting the school financially and promoting our school to the families and community that surround us.
The school thoroughly appreciate the work and support of the PTA. As soon as you join our school, you automatically become a member of the PTA. All our parents and families are encouraged to attend the PTA meetings which are held regularly. Each class has a PTA representative and these are listed below.

Parent School Lottery
Welcome to Pimperne CE VC Primary School lottery. This lottery has been set up specifically to raise money and make a difference for our children!
It’s a fantastic way to bring Parents, Carers, Teachers and the wider community together, in partnership with our school, and at the same time give something back. We hope to raise funds that can support and enrich the education of our children – we aim to provide extra resources for the children, improve the school environment as well as run extra curricular activities such as music, art and sport.
Your support is greatly appreciated and we wish you good luck!

What are the PTA raising money for in 2026-2027
The school has a vision (or wish list) for the ongoing...
- a running track on the field. (This has been thwarted over the years due to the area flooding and draining issues.) We are gradually starting to understand the lay of the land - literally.
- an outdoor classroom. (A covered space for outdoor learning, large enough for a class.)
- saving our amphitheatre (Repairs are essential currently and we would very much like to keep the amphitheatre as a usable space - a community space and an event space. We see outdoor film shows, music evenings, visiting theatrics...
- outdoor shade (Structures such as pergulas for children to sit under, providing some essential shade.)
- Space dome experience. (A visiting immersive experience for all classes)
- Emergency First Aid for all classes. (Last year gratefully funded by the Rotary Club.) Life skills and personal development are a focus for our own school curriculum.
We appreciate the continuous contribution of PTA funds for the following:
- Class Funds – Each class is given an annual budget to support the learning of the children, this may support educational visits or classroom resources etc. £200 per year group is gifted by the PTA to support the school and families alike by lowering costs for educational visitors or visitor experiences.
- Groups – We wholeheartedly support all our children throughout their time. On entry to Reception, each child will receive a gifted school book bag. In Year 5, children are gifted their school tie, ready for upper KS2. In Year 5 and Year 6 we help support the school by contributing to the cost of coach travel for residential visits, this helps the school keep the cost down to all our families.
- Learning – Supporting the renewal of library books - purchasing monthly 'reads' for both Keys Stage 1 & 2. Keeping a love of reading and interest in books and authors alive!
- Experiences – We are raising funds to support the school in providing extra special experiences to enhance learning both in Key Stage 1 and in Key Stage 2. These may include: Annual Emergency First Aid training for every child and/or a professional visiting Pantomime, including sound, scenery and lighting to transform our hall space into a real theatre experience.
- We remain hugely grateful to the time and support of Riverside Travel who offer transport to our children within the local area for a huge range of opportunities, experiences and activities. We would not be so active in our community without their support. We live in rural north Dorset and despite this being very beautiful, it leaves schools fighting to find the funding to take our children out, to join others and be a part of something much bigger than ourselves.
