Year 5 Tudor Day

Last Monday, we had a Tudor day where we spent the morning learning all about a Tudor’s way of life. We discovered what it would have been like if we had been at school during Tudor times, (sorry girls!), how we would have lived if we were rich or poor, how to dance like Tudors, how to right with a penner and ink and how to make a Tudor pocket to store what money we may have had. Spending the morning immersed in the Tudor way of life will help us throughout the term as we continue with the Tudors in our topic work. Although a fantastic day was had by all, we think Miss Tatham, Mr Gaffney and Mr Rose are glad they don’t have to mark work written in penner and ink.  We can all agree our handwriting is much neater in a modern pen or pencil!
