The PTA is extremely active at Pimperne Primary School.  The contribution that it makes to every child’s time here at Pimperne is hugely beneficial.  The fundraising events that happen throughout the year are vital in the supporting the school financially and promoting our school to the families and community that surround us.

The school thoroughly appreciate the work and support of the PTA. As soon as you join our school, you automatically become a member of the PTA.  All our parents and families are encouraged to attend the PTA meetings which are held regularly. Each class has a PTA representative and these are listed below.

What are the PTA raising money for in 2018 – 2019?

Coach and minibus travel – We live in rural Dorset, to ensure our children have experiences we help support the school by contributing to the cost of travel, this helps the school keep the cost down on the KS2 residential visits planned and class day visits. The money also helps to provide transport to the Blandford School and Leisure centre for opportunities offered to our children, in addition to helping any supporting or musical groups travel out into the community.

Class Funds – Each class is given an annual budget to support the learning of the children, this may support educational visits or classroom resources etc

Groups – We wholeheartedly support our children who are ambassadors for our school whether through music, sport or other curriculum activities. We are purchasing some school swimming hats and t-shirts for when children take part in inter school swimming galas.

Learning – We have helped to buy online subscriptions for learning platforms in maths and english, to help support our children in a fun and motivational manner.

Experiences – We are raising funds to support the school in providing extra special experiences to enhance learning both in Key Stage 1 and in Key Stage 2.

Fundraising Events

The PTA are always willing to listen to new ideas, please bring them along to our next meeting.

Tuck Shop – A special Friday treat!

Our tuck shops run on a monthly basis throughout the year, with parents from each year group in turn providing the treats and running the stall. It is usually held in the playground on a Friday afternoon, just as the children leave for the weekend.  Treats may be delivered into school during the day of the Tuck Shop and are usually collected in a box in the staffroom. Setting up the stall takes around 10-15 minutes and parents collect the treats from the staffroom to lay out onto the stall tables.
