Family SEAL -Good to be me!

During this session we discussed how children can recognise their feelings and things adults can do to help them. A point of discussion was also that having feelings is absolutely fine, but some behaviour associated with those feelings can be unacceptable. Ways of calming down were also discussed.

Parents helped their child make a feelings chart so that the child (or adult) can show how they are feeling and if necessary talk about it.

Comments from parents this week:
‘Very interesting, lots of ideas to try.’
‘I think my child will enjoy using the feelings chart- I might have to make one for myself.’
